The National Show Horse is a recognised breed of its own right, being a direct cross between an American Saddlebred and an Arab. No other heritage is allowed.
To qualify as a National Show Horse the horse must have at least 50% and up to a maximum of 99% Arabian heritage. The remainder must be American Saddlebred.
The National Show Horse is once again another American developed breed, bred to combine the refinement of the Arab and the animation of the American Saddlebred. Because of their exquisite looks and movement they excel in showing. Enhanced by the fact that they are NOT shown plaited, National Show Horses truely stand out and turn heads.
Again, the breed is highly versatile and capable of suprising people with their ability to excel in anything that they are asked to do.
